Fall 2025 Eclipse Season
September 15, 2025, Watch ECLIPSE VIDEO #1
We’re in the middle between two eclipses right now. The Pisces lunar eclipse and the upcoming Virgo solar eclipse. So things are changing. if you have maybe gone through or experienced or noticed some changes in the last week, just understand that this is part of this bigger evolutionary shift that's taking place and try if you can to sort of get beyond this either or dynamic that I think we as human beings tend to gravitate to.
We want to know is it going to be okay? Is it not going to be okay? But the reality is that life is complicated. There are things that are coming up that are surfacing in our psyches in the collective consciousness that need to be dealt with.
And there are moments, there are times in, you know, our history or our evolutionary experience when things sort of speed up and come to the surface to be looked at, to be felt, to be dealt with or avoided as the case may be.
So the more we can prevent, or “avoid” avoidance, and not get sucked into that temptation to just hope it all goes away, the more we can actually engage with what is showing up. What is showing up for you personally? What does it mean for you? What are your choices?
And I had some great videos and thoughts last week on how to make choices consciously and think about really, when things feel tough, what options do you have? Can you take care of yourself? Can you get your thinking clear? Can you get grounded?
Vulnerability is a Superpower
Being vulnerable, being sensitive, can be a superpower because it allows us to support ourselves in the deeper work of healing of change. So it might look like needing a little extra rest. It might look like some time for yourself. It might look like those classic self-care activities.
It might also just look like doing your normal routine, but having a little extra care and kindness for yourself.
Be a Caring Presence
It’s also a great time also to ask, "How can I be there for someone else? How can I be kind? How can I show up with a caring presence that helps to create the space for healing even if I don't necessarily have the right answer?”
Maybe you can't fix whatever the problem is. But how can you affirm that healing is available through how you care for yourself and how you show up with a caring presence for those around you, whether they're close or whether they are more superficial acquaintances or strangers even just showing up in ways that acknowledge your common humanity.
And at those deeper levels—maybe we don't agree on ideas or the way that something is being seen or framed—but we can agree on something like, “hey, I care about how human beings treat one another.”
Seek Common Ground
I've mentioned this before, but it’s actually a good time to dial it back and ask, where is common ground? What can we agree on? How can we find that shared experience of maybe something we have in common, something we can agree on like that we think we should treat one another with respect, something really basic.
Often that can be a place of coming together and that can be a starting place or create a space for that healing to unfold. Healing is a natural process. It wants to happen. We get in the way and we get afraid even.
Trust the Healing Process
Maybe we feel uncertain, like, “I don't know what's going to happen. Maybe I don't want to have something change.” So remember that that healing process is already in motion. You know, we know, how to heal. Our bodies, our cells, know how, and we have to trust that.
It's true in our emotional healing as well. So trust that, and even if you don't—even in those places where maybe healing feels like it can't happen, or takes a long time—you can ask yourself, “if that is the case, then what is my best choice in this moment?”
Maybe you can't see the healing yet or even how it's going to happen, but through acknowledging your belief that healing can occur in the long run, even when you can't see exactly what that's going to look like, you can be there for that process and acknowledge your belief in the outcome.
Solar Eclipse at 29 Degrees Virgo
The upcoming Virgo solar eclipse is a really fascinating, potent, and powerful eclipse. I have lots to share about that eclipse. And it's at 29 degrees Virgo. So, I think what I'm going to do is just share with you as we go through the week what to expect with the Virgo eclipse coming up, what these energies look like.
Even though it's several days away, we're probably already feeling that eclipse energy because it is so significant and meaningful. Eclipses in general tend to expand beyond the exact day by quite a bit.
Even though the moon sign changes every couple days and you know we kind of move on, the mood changes, we feel different, the vibe changes… but with eclipses we tend to have that eclipse energy for many days if not weeks or even months. And of course, where it is activating your own chart can be even more significant or meaningful for you personally.
Anaretic Degree: the “Last Chance”
So, thinking about that upcoming eclipse at 29° Virgo, 29 degrees is the anaretic degree. The last degree of any sign is called the anaretic degree. And in the case of Virgo, we are really looking at that transition point between Virgo and Libra.
Virgo is opposite Pisces. So, the shift is from the Virgo-Pisces axis... If you're an astrologer you know that opposite signs have an opposite dynamic where they are like two sides of the same coin.
So, from Virgo-Pisces we are moving into that Libra-Aries energy, because Libra is the opposite of Aries. Aries is about the self and selfishness. Libra is about partnership and sharing.
29 degrees Virgo is really about that place where we are completing something. We are completing the work of the self. This is what that degree is about. It is about wanting to be perfect. Virgo likes perfection.
Feeling the Pressure
At 29 degrees Virgo, we notice what is not ready yet for that shift into Libra partnership. We see where work is needed on the self to be ready to share with another.
And feels like the last chance to get it right. Because 29° Virgo is not only the end of Virgo, it's the end of the first six signs.
The first six signs are Aries through Virgo. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo. So it's the completion of that first half of the zodiac, which gives it this feeling of pressure. It makes us feel like we have to get it right.
So that is some of the energy that is showing up in the collective right now is that feeling of pressure, of—it feels like if we don't get this right that we're not going to be good human beings. Our collective experience of humanity will be a failure.
That's a lot of pressure. That’s some of the vibe that we're feeling with this upcoming solar eclipse in Virgo. I'll talk a little bit more as the week goes on about that.
Give Yourself a Hug
It’s important to acknowledge and honor the places where you feel sensitive, where you may have emotions or emotional needs and just honoring your needs and the feelings you have is the best way to support yourself. So ask yourself, “what are my needs?”
That is where self-care is most effective. How can you mother yourself? How can you nurture yourself? So, giving yourself a hug either literally or virtually or metaphorically or whatever that may look like or feel like for you. How are you giving yourself a hug?
Eclipse Opposition to Saturn and Neptune + Healing with Jupiter in Cancer
September 16, 2025 Watch ECLIPSE VIDEO #2
The moon joins the planet Jupiter in the morning, bringing a focus to not only expansion and abundance but some other things Jupiter is known for that we'll talk about today.
Today's vibe is the moon in Cancer. We focus on feelings and healing and how to heal by trusting our feelings, and that intuitive sense of what we need. To follow our own inner wisdom and inner knowing about how to care for ourselves. That’s the place to start to in essentially trusting ourselves to know what we need for ourselves, and that's a revelation right there, isn't it?
Jupiter in Cancer: Creative Approaches to Caring
But we have additional focus on that approach because of the moon's conjunction with Jupiter this morning. And that will happen around, well between 5 and 5:30 a.m. Pacific time with the moon joining Jupiter in Cancer.
Jupiter is known as the planet of expansion and abundance. But there's more to Jupiter. Jupiter has to do with also our bigger picture of the paradigm we are in. So that could be our beliefs, our belief systems. It could be whatever guides us in terms of theories and how we understand ourselves and the world around us. Whatever it is that gives us that sense of what is true, what is right, what are our guiding principles, how do we think about the world.
Jupiter is that planet of expansion but really having that bigger picture of faith. Where do you expand, what do you expand into when you go beyond the everyday? And so, what do you trust in? What do you believe in? What is that bigger container that helps you guide your choices and actions through your bigger picture of understanding of what's important, what brings meaning to your life?
Jupiter in cancer is asking us to think about the bigger picture of beliefs we have regarding our understanding of caring, of feelings, of healing. And so, what are our beliefs about family, how we care for one another, domestic life?
Think about caring in a more expansive way, going beyond this idea that there is a black and white, a right and wrong, when it comes to things like how we care for one another, family values, and how we view ourselves in that bigger picture of understanding. It’s a good time to ask what feels important, how we organize our thinking and create that bigger picture container.
And we have choices. Jupiter reminds us that to truly expand how we care for one another, we have to get beyond a black and white way of framing things, where everything fits neatly into a box. If you do this thing, you're doing it right. If you do that thing, you're doing it wrong.
Beyond Black and White
You can see how that can easily be translated into my way is right and your way is wrong. So who gets to say? Who gets to decide the right way and the wrong way to care for one another, to be a family with the people we care about or how we care for children and one another and our bigger picture of familial connections, whether that's family of origin, biological family, chosen family—our bonds of love that we have with other people in so many different ways.
In other words, when we get beyond that black and white understanding of right and wrong, we can expand into what I think is much more healing and much more powerful. And that is where we are in a process of figuring out how to solve problems in a way that is helping us grow.
It allows for creativity. It allows for the discovery of the real healing path. There is no black and white, no strict right or wrong about how we should behave. But when we make choices, maybe we discover, “oh, hey, that choice was not well received or maybe it didn't work out so great for me or someone else, but how can I be creative in this healing process to understand what went wrong and how to do it differently and how to support myself to do it in a way that's more healthy in the future?”
You see how different that feels. And that more expansive way of understanding our caring process and how we care for one another comes from a deeper creative process that allows for new possibilities. It allows us to discover something we didn't know before, as opposed to the black and white version of beliefs or understanding or being told how to do things.
When things are black and white, it's you have to fit into a box. You can't discover a new solution along that healing path. You can't figure out what works for you. You can't solve problems in a relationship that has a true path of discovery and you know that feeling of, “oh wow, we figured out how to do this in a better way. We figured out how to communicate more effectively or show up for one another in ways that are for the greater good or the greater whole.”
There's so much more that could be explored in that arena. But I think today those themes are up as we think about the moon in cancer and Jupiter in cancer and Jupiter's influence on the moon and vice versa where it's really awakening in us a need to expand beyond limiting paradigms, beyond beliefs and ways of understanding things that constrict that restrict the possibilities. We can instead move into thinking about the healing path as a path of discovery, as a path of problem solving that comes from our own creative capacity to invent or discover something new.
Letting Go with the Waning Crescent Moon Between Eclipses
We are just past the third quarter moon. We are in that finalizing, digesting, integrating part of the moon cycle where we need to process what we've been what information is being revealed to us. It’s time to make meaning out of it; to begin to understand what this really means for your life. Ask yourself, “How do I need to change? How do I see myself differently now that I am going through a change process?” We're in the middle of that process as we head into Sunday's September 21st solar eclipse in Virgo at 29° Virgo.
The Work to Make the Dream Come True
This eclipse is a New Moon, which is a conjunction or a coming together of the sun and the moon. That's the definition of a new moon. And both the sun and the moon are opposite another conjunction which is Saturn at 28 degrees Pisces 28° and Neptune at 0 degrees Aries.
This opposition is activating some very potent energies, and this opposition has two planets on one side, two planets on the other side. Saturn and Neptune oppose the sun and moon. So it is really activating that near exact conjunction of Saturn and Neptune.
Neptune and Saturn came closest a few weeks ago, but they're still within a couple of degrees of a conjunction. They will be in an exact conjunction next year. The point is that those energies come through this eclipse.
What Do You Need to Release?
Saturn is in late Pisces, 28 degrees Pisces, which is also a completion part of the zodiac. Both Virgo and Pisces are the completion point of the previous six signs.
In the case of Virgo, it's the finishing of Aries through Virgo. In the case of Pisces, it's the finishing of Libra through Pisces. So, both signs are endings. Both signs have the energy of completion, getting something right, and feeling that pressure to release what baggage we don't want to bring with us into the future. It’s time to put it down because we don't have the time or the energy to carry some of that stuff with us.
So what is it you need to put down, leave behind, do your grieving around, if necessary, to release something that you have been carrying with you that is not going with you into the future?
Just like if you're moving, you go through your stuff, and you go, "Okay, that's not going with me. Maybe I've had it a long time. Maybe it served me well in the past, but it doesn't belong where I'm going.”
Those are the kinds of questions we want to ask symbolically and metaphorically about what it is in our psyches that we don't want or need with us where we're going and it will just drag us down if we try to take it with us.
So there's that release, that letting go experience. And Saturn in Pisces is conjunct Neptune. Saturn is saying there is a dream, the promise of that rebirth that happens in Aries. With Virgo, it's the promise of the next phase in early Libra so the promise of being able to share in that place of partnership of being seen by another person of engaging in doing things cooperatively and collaboratively.
That's the promise of Virgo, as you're heading into Libra.
You Can Have the Dream, If You Work for It
With the promise of Pisces, you're entering Aries, the place of self-rebirth: new discoveries, renewal, and new ways of understanding yourself. The promise is new possibilities for who you can be and how you can show up.
And Neptune in Aries says, "Here's the dream. We are just at the very beginning. We are brand new babies dipping our toes in the water of the dream that we imagine for ourselves.”
And the Saturn conjunction, or almost conjunction, with Neptune says you can have that dream, but you have to work for it. It's not going to come easily. And Saturn is showing us right now where the work is to be done.
What is emerging in personal and collective consciousness says, “here is what has not been completed. Here is where you are invited to do the work that is needed to fulfill the promise of the dream of the future.”
So, as things emerge and feel challenging, and might even feel overwhelming at times, in terms of what is unfolding in the realities around us, we have to remember that all of this is an invitation to step up into the very best version of ourselves.
What does that look like? How can we show up in our authentic truth to make a contribution? And now I'm going to come back to that cancer in that Jupiter in cancer energy and just bring in this piece that says how are you going to expand into what that caring can look like?
That means being creative, thinking creatively, finding those possibilities that you, didn't notice were even there before. Maybe they were there all along, but you couldn't see them.
The Work Happens at All Levels: Body, Mind, Spirit, and Emotion
And putting in the work that happens on all levels. it requires the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional—all the dimensions of life—to do this work.
Some of the work is done by actions, the things we do, the courage we find to show up and speak up and and make noise about something or move it forward or just do something.
But we also need the balance of the earth energy, which is remembering to take care of our bodies. Earth energy also includes what kinds of structures we need, how we stay grounded, and what that looks like as we create or imagine new systems.
We need the emotional work. It’s very important. It’s the work of healing the past, addressing our traumas, and feeling the feelings we need to feel so that we can clear that stuff and leave it behind and be ready for something new. It’s like when you take a shower and you just wash away the old and make yourself fresh and ready for something new.
And then we have, of course, the mental work. That’s the work of ideas and finding solutions. It’s about how we need to think about problems, the words we use, the language we use to communicate our fears and concerns. It’s also brainstorming, creative thinking, and talking something through with a friend.
So we need all of the dimensions to do this work. And this upcoming eclipse reminds us that when we do that work, when we put in that effort, we are creating the space for the dream to emerge in this rebirth phase.
It's a process. It's a long process. But this eclipse brings in an opportunity to notice where you are leaving something behind, where you are ready to step into something new, and where you are opening your heart to what that might look like without being attached to the past.
Look to the Future for Answers
Pluto in Aquarius reminds us that the solutions do not lie in the past. You will not find the solutions to the problems we face right now in something that has gone before because the solutions are what we are here to discover. They are new inventions. They are innovations.
They are new ways of thinking, new ways of doing things. They are creative and they call on us to stretch to stretch our minds and our psyches into new possibilities and to allow ourselves to change in the ways we need to change to step into those new problem-solving possibilities.
Three “Last Chance” YODS in the Solar Eclipse Chart
September 17, 2025 Watch ECLIPSE VIDEO #3
Today, we're going to look at some yods, including the positions of Mars and Venus, and their role in connecting to outer planets in the chart of the upcoming solar eclipse at 29 degrees Virgo coming up on Sunday, September 21st.
The recent lunar eclipse in Pisces was also very potent. We also have the upcoming solar eclipse in Virgo being the second of two new moons in Virgo. The first one was at the very beginning of Virgo and this one coming up will be at the very end, at 29° Virgo.
Deep Changes
This is episode number three in looking at the upcoming solar eclipse. Words are not always sufficient to capture the fullness of what we are going through. What are you learning, moving through, or figuring out? How are you changing? How are you learning more about who you are and how to move as yourself in the world?
I wanted to talk today about the roles of Mars and Venus in the upcoming eclipse. And first of all, one of the reasons I'm breaking my discussion this time about the upcoming eclipse into installments, if you will, is because the eclipse itself, the chart of the eclipse, the alignments of the planets are so fascinatingly symmetrical and complicated and just rich with symbolism and meaning.
It is bringing us a moment, a time, of transformation, of asking, “what do we need to get right and how do we move forward? How do we think about the future? And how do we what do we need to leave behind that isn't going with us?”
How are you letting go of the things that are in the way that maybe you are a little attached to, something that has been comfy for a very long time? It’s the feeling of that really comfortable old worn out sofa that is in your living room that when you're ready to move to that new house, it's like, it has served me well, but it's just going to weigh me down if I take it to my new my new place, my new future, my new identity.
How are you doing the work of releasing? Getting rid of a heavy old couch is work sometimes; it doesn’t just magically disappear. Also, think about what changes you may need to make in your habits and patterns to adapt to the new future that you're stepping into.
Outer Planet Sextiles Bring Creative Possibilities
We have these outer planets Pluto, Neptune and Saturn conjunct, and Uranus in, basically, part of a grand sextile: two waxing sextiles with a waxing trine. Waxing just means that they are moving away from each other. and it’s a more creative outward energy.
And this part of the cycle, the sextile, the trine, is an easy flow of energy. So there is a temptation to sit back and just kind of hope it's all going to work out. But this solar eclipse at 29° Virgo says, “This is about you. It's about you being engaged, involved, active.”
What does that look like for you? It doesn't mean you have to do something that's not you. There are ways to make a positive difference through being yourself, doing what you're good at, connecting with people you enjoy being with. It doesn't have to hurt.
In fact, it's better if it's fun. And isn't work always better if it's fun? If you enjoy doing it and make it fun. So, that's part of this.
What is a Yod?
The positions of Mars and Venus during the upcoming eclipse are in an alignment with those three outer planets in a remarkable way that creates three yods.
What's a yod? A yod is a triangle that has a sextile between two planets. It is 60° of separation between two planets with both planets in an inconjunct which is 150 degrees, a little bit less than an opposition from those two.
Each planet has an inconjunct to a third planet, and it ends up looking like a triangle a long skinny equilateral triangle, well, not equilateral but equal on two sides.
And Mars and Venus are in a sextile with each other. Both of those planets point toward Neptune and Saturn. So that's one yod, then there's a second yod where Pluto and Neptune are pointing toward Venus. Okay. And then we've got Uranus and Neptune in a sextile creating a third yod to Mars.
Warrior Planet Mars Demands Action
Mars is the planet of action of courage, of where we need to get off our “you know what” and do something. Mars says, “you can sit at the foot of the mountain as long as you want, dreaming about the summit, but you aren’t going to get there until you get up and start moving.”
What does that look like for you? Doing something could mean taking action, doing something, shaking things up, getting through your to-do list, or even making a plan.
Mars is involved in two yods and with the yod energy you feel the pressure to get it right. There is a feeling of, “It's coming. It's here. It's upon us.” It's this feeling of, “how are we going to make sure that we don't mess this up?
A yod is based on inconjuncts and an inconjunct is the energy of that final chance. It's like the last chance to fix what is not right to get it right before the door is opened right the curtain is drawn or something is revealed.
A yod has two inconjuncts, and both are saying, “you've got to get this right.” What is it that needs your attention? And it's not impossible. It's not saying you will fall off the cliff if you don't get it right. It's saying you can do this.
You can do this. But you need to be conscious and you need to be making choices with consciousness. That's all it really takes is to check in with yourself, to ask, “Am I on track? Am I doing things that are true and right for me? Where do I need to make some adjustments or shift my way of being or think about something differently?”
If we take that moment to check in with ourselves and ask, “What can I change? What can I adjust that will make something even better?
Inconjuncts are really aligned with Virgo energy because Virgo has kind of that inconjunct relationship through its connected to the sixth house. Both are that energy of needing to get something right.
To Fix Something You Need to See What Is Wrong
Think about the act of cleaning. Virgo is the archetype of bringing order, restoring order and cleanliness. So how do you make something clean? You see what is not clean.
And when you can see what is not clean or not right or not the way it should be, when you can see it, you can fix it. If you can see where the dirt is on the floor, you can clean it.
That is true even at a really basic level. And I've been talking about the magic broom and witchcraft and magic. The simple action of using a broom to sweep your floor restores order. It brings cleanliness. It changes space. It changes energy. It changes how you feel even.
Think about how you feel after you've cleaned something versus before you've cleaned it, made it work, or fixed it. The ability to restore order or fix something or make it the best it can be is most effective when we can see what is wrong.
When we can see what is wrong, we can fix it. When we can see the dirt, we can remove it. So, why is Virgo seen as nitpicky or as someone who can see all the details? It's because it is doing that final cleaning, clearing, repairing, or improving to make something ready.
This is the last chance. It’s important to be able to see what is not working so that you can fix it. And Mars in a yod is saying, “What kind of actions do you need to take? Where do you need to make adjustments in how you think, the way you move, or the way you're taking action? Are you doing something? Are you going in the right direction? Should you be doing something differently?
It's an opportunity to check in with yourself and come into that consciousness by asking yourself what is true and right for you. Where is something wrong or out of place? How can you fix it?
Because that is what will help you make something better, or get it where it needs to be so that you can get on with the work of shaping the world in the way you really want to see it unfold.
Mars in Libra is a Warrior for Balance and Justice
Mars is in Libra, where it asks us to restore balance and justice. It brings up themes of how we are different. And is that not surfacing right now? It’s bringing up where we are different, where we see things differently, how we don't agree, how we have different perspectives and what that can bring and so on.
So ask yourself, “How can I think about balance in a way that helps bring healing or helps move something in the direction of peace?”
Maybe you're not going to achieve world peace right in the next moment, but what you can do is you can ask yourself, “How can I be my best self in a way that helps me find common ground with others, come on to a place of where we can at least agree on something or move something in a direction together. How can we cooperate?”
And you won't be able to do that with all people. But where can you make adjustments to help move something in the direction of peace, the ability to get along, solve problems together, etc.? These are big themes in our world right now.
And Libra is ruled by Venus. Venus is also in this yod with Mars. It’s in a sextile with Mars, forming a yod to Neptune and by conjunction also Saturn.
Venus is about Beauty, Value, and Happiness
Venus is in Virgo, bringing more Virgo energy that asks, “What do you need to get right? Where do you need to notice the details? Where do you need to attend to something aesthetically?
Venus is about where we see and experience beauty, value, what brings us pleasure and happiness. With Venus in Virgo, getting things right also makes us feel good. How can we do something that helps us feel good sooner rather than later?
We obviously we want to create a world to live in that feels more comfy, a little less activated and challenging, shall we say, than the way the world is right now. But how can you do that right now, in this moment? How can you find a way to shift into something that feels good, that is in alignment with your values, that supports what you want to receive?
We often talk about Venus superficially. Everybody wants money. Venus is about money. Why do we want money? We want money because we want that value. We want the things that money can get us.
How can you think about your life and what you value and where can you make adjustments? Where can you let go of something to get it out of the way so that you are stepping more fully into what feels valuable to you on many levels?
What Do You Value on a Spiritual Level?
This is especially true on the spiritual level. What do you value on the spiritual level? What feels good and true and right? What can you do or adjust in your life to create more of that feeling?
That is one of the things that this solar eclipse at 29° Virgo is inviting us to do. To feel into what we want, how we want things to be, how we want to feel, and to look at our own ways that we invest or don't invest in creating what we want in our everyday lives.
How can we make an adjustment or let go of something that doesn't serve us? Where can we take action or think in new ways about our actions, choices, and decisions?
Mars in Libra says, “I could do this, or I could do that.” It can have a hard time choosing. But how can you be a little bit more decisive and move in the direction you want to go that energetically supports things that feel important and meaningful to you?
Eclipse Power Questions
To summarize, this solar eclipse is inviting us to question:
1. Who have you been?
2. What have your choices in the past brought you?
3. How can you make choices in a better way going forward?
4. What do you need to take with you into your future? What do you need to leave behind?
5. What kind of habits and patterns are going to help you shift in the ways you need to shift to create balance, order, peace, and justice?
