FLY with the Eclipse KITE

September 18, 2025 Watch ECLIPSE VIDEO #4

Today we’ll be looking at the kite in the chart for the eclipse. What is a kite? A kite is a grand trine and a grand trine is an equilateral triangle. All three sides of the triangle are equal with three planets.

Grand Trine in Air: Open to New Thinking

In this case we have Pluto, Uranus, and the sun/moon combination forming a grand trine. The sun and moon at 29° Virgo are in a grand trine with Pluto at 1 degree Aquarius, Uranus at one degree Gemini, and the sun and moon not quite in early Libra.

It would be in a grand trine in air signs, and typically if there is a grand trine, all three points will be in the same element. This one is a basically an air grand trine, except the sun and moon are saying “We're not quite ready yet. We are just on the brink of stepping into that air Libra energy.”

And a kite just means that we have that grand trine with two sextiles at one end of that grand trine. So the placement of Neptune in a sextile to Pluto and Uranus makes it form a double sextile and with the sun and moon forming a grand trine that makes a kite.

So, what is a kite and how do we interpret it? What does it mean for this eclipse? We start with the grand trine which is an easy flow of energy. Keep in mind that easy flow of energy is supporting whatever you are putting out there.

Both Positive and Negative Intentions Manifest More Easily

Whether you choose positive or negative intentions, both will manifest more easily and more quickly. Nothing in astrology, at least from an evolutionary perspective, is strictly good or bad. Everything we look at in astrology has a spectrum of possibilities depending on how we choose to work with it.

The grand trine brings an easy flow of energy that is supportive to our intentions, especially our ideas and thinking. The element of air is about thinking, ideas, and mental processing.

It’s about how we connect with the higher ideas and ideals that can guide us forward. It’s about how we put things into words, how we communicate, and finding the right words. So in part this is about finding the words to communicate that bigger spiritual picture of what is calling you forward.

What is the healing path, from that bigger spiritual perspective and that perspective of wisdom? And then the kite part with the two sextiles pointing to Neptune, which is also only two and a bit degrees from Saturn at 28° Pisces, again Saturn is very much part of the energetic alignments of this eclipse.

The Magical Process of Change

Saturn is the hard work, reminding us you don't get what you don't earn. So what does that work look like? It doesn't mean it's impossible. What it means is you can get there, but you have to be willing to change, to learn, to grow, to adapt, to become something new.

And that process of change can be magical if we are engaging with it—if we are checking in with ourselves to ask, “What is my bigger spiritual path? What is the bigger picture of meaning for me? What would I want?

Be Careful What You Wish For

If that magic genie lantern were given to you… And, is it not a really good idea, as you're making your wish on that genie lantern, to think carefully about what you're asking for?

You may not be really fully anticipating the all the ramifications, the fallout, if you will, that might come of that wish. In other words, it’s about putting out the positive intentions, but being careful about not overstepping, not being too simplistic, too superficial.

There's the heart and the mind, but there's also the gut. What is your gut telling you? What does it feel like when you feel really grounded and connected to yourself and you're asking, “What is it I need and what choices do I need to make at this time to get in alignment with that path?”

Retrograde Planets Make this an Inside Job

That's true of all the planets involved in this kite. Pluto, Neptune and Saturn, Uranus, all outer planets are retrograde right now which means that all of this is very much an inside job.

There is internal processing that we are doing. and that internal processing means self-examination. So, if you take a look at yourself, are you projecting outside of yourself? Are you getting angry at someone? Are you frustrated that they're not doing what you think they should do?

Because it might be helpful to ask yourself, how can I show up in a different way to engage with a positive possibility, a healing possibility, a problem-solving-oriented approach? What would that look like?

So, if you need to step back from your own reactivity, from your own fears, traumas, triggers, or whatever is coming up for you, take a step back from that. Ask yourself what you need to get back to center, to remember who you are, and to then ask, "What is the healing path in this moment? What would I do in this moment if I could make real magic happen?"

That is the invitation of this kite. There is a lot of support, but again, it's going to support whatever you're putting your energy, your intention, your hopes and dreams into.

So you might as well A) go big, ask for what you really want, and B) make it deep. Not the superficial stuff, not the, “I want the shiny, fancy car." Or whatever that may be for you. Make it something meaningful, like, “I want to feel loved. I want to feel connected to my fellow human beings. I want to experience real healing.”

Real healing, how about that for an intention? Because then you get the gift of the universe showing you what real healing looks like, because it’s what you're asking for. You're not asking for some simplistic thing. You're asking for something that really speaks to you at deep levels.

So, feel into what that might be for you.

Mars-Pluto Square Brings TRANSFORMATION

The Moon has been in Leo, bringing a bit of drama in recent days. It enters Virgo today, heading into Sunday’s Virgo solar eclipse.

From Drama to Problem-Solving

Venus has been in Leo and will be shifting into Virgo today as well. And as that happens, the moon and Venus join together in a conjunction at 29° 59 minutes Leo, the very last minute of Leo before both planets head into Virgo.

So, we’re shifting gears from that energy of Leo of wanting to be seen, wanting to be the center of attention, into Virgo where we get to ask ourselves, “what am I going to do about it?” In other words, “I had my feelings. I needed to share them. I needed to say what I thought and felt, and now, with the Virgo energy, how am I going to do this? What am I going to become, given the new information I have?”

New moons begin the moon cycle and this moon cycle will be the fulfillment or of the work of the previous new moon. So the seeds that are planted at the new moon speak to what work we're going to be where the focus is going to be throughout the month and throughout the moon cycle.

Personal Work is Collective Work

So, if you've been following me, you know that we talk about each month as having a theme and beginning with the really the chart of the new moon. So, everything that we are talking about here with the chart of the solar eclipse in Virgo on Sunday is speaking to this is the work that we're going to be doing.

It's not just one day; it will unfold over the next moon cycle and beyond, because eclipses also have extra significance. They tend to open a portal that can bring through new information, new awareness, and changes in reality.

And when I say changes in reality, I'm not trying to get weird on you. I'm just saying that sometimes circumstances change enough that we have to kind of reorient ourselves, to ask, “With what has changed in my life how do I think about myself now? How do I think about my day-to-day life, my habits, my routines?”

You may have something showing up for you through the process of this eclipse season that brings change into your life. And on a very personal level you are figuring out how to adapt to new truths, new realities, new things that exist that didn't exist before or used to exist and now are changing.

Honor yourself and your needs in that process. It's not minor. Also recognize that we do have this bigger picture of the collective and some of these energies that all of us are feeling, that we're feeling together. There are things that show up in news headlines—what everybody's talking about around the water cooler, what's coming up in the collective psyche.

And what is showing up and being worked through, that we're processing collectively, is being processed by us as individuals. So, with this Virgo eclipse, we are also being asked to really think about how we participate in helping to create the world in the way we want it to be.

Challenging Squares in the Eclipse Chart

Today, we are going to look at some of the squares in the eclipse chart. Squares are challenges. They also represent a phase in a cycle. All of the aspects we've been talking about are a phase in a cycle. Whether it's a sextile, trine, or yod, it's a point in an unfolding cycle.

It's not static. It's dynamic. The planets are moving, and we see that as the sun moves through the zodiac, and as the moon moves through the zodiac signs. The planets are all in motion. So we need to remember that. It’s like we take a snapshot of where the planets are at these potent moments, like the solar eclipse. The eclipse chart is the chart of the exact moment when the sun and moon join together in the zodiac. We look at what's going on at that moment. It's kind of like a birth chart.

The moment of birth is a potent moment, and it gives you a map for your soul's journey from alignment of the planets at that moment. I'm getting off on tangents but hopefully that's useful.

The Current Mars-Pluto Cycle Began in February 2024

The Mars-Pluto square is a waning square, meaning it's 3/4 of the way through the cycle between those two planets. It’s come 3/4 of the way from the Mars-Pluto conjunction which is like a new moon but involving Mars and Pluto.

That exact conjunction took place on February 13th, 2024. So, just zoom yourself back to February 2024, which was right after Pluto had gone into Aquarius. This was the second time because in 2023, Pluto dipped its toes in Aquarius and then quickly retrograded back into Capricorn.

In recent years, we’ve been having a transition from Pluto in Capricorn to Pluto in Aquarius. That's important because now that Pluto is in Aquarius, it will stay there until the 2040s. So this is a significant shift in the background energies, a big shift from Pluto in Capricorn.

Pluto was at 0 degrees Aquarius when Mars and Pluto were conjunct. That was the seed of the current Mars-Pluto cycle that is coming into the third waning square. So, Mars and Pluto joined together.

Mars and Pluto: A Volatile Combination

Mars and Pluto is a volatile combination. Mars brings the need to turn potential energy into kinetic energy. It's where we feel the agitation and the need to move, and if we don't move, it can actually be harmful.

If you have a fight or flight instinct and you don't move that energy, it can go inward and cause health issues and so forth. Mars energy needs to move, and it can cause things to explode. It's built-up energy. Pressure builds up and it needs to go somewhere.

Mars energy can move slowly or quickly, but it needs to go somewhere. And Pluto energy is transformational. Pluto deals with big transformation, mysterious things like where do we go when we die? How are we reborn? Depth, mystery, transformation, these bigger processes that are mysterious, that we don't always have answers for.

It deals with deeper psychologies as well, such as our unconscious and new awareness coming to the surface. So that potent, powerful energy of Pluto coming together with Mars needs to go somewhere.

People can get a little nervous about that combination. And if you have that in your chart too, somebody may have said to you, "Wow, how do you experience that Mars Pluto combination?” But nothing has to be bad. It's just energy that needs to move, to transform.

And the seed that was planted at 0 degrees Aquarius is pushing us to move and grow in a new direction that is Aquarian, that is future-oriented, that deals with innovation and new solutions and new ways forward, that is community-oriented, that is shifting into higher consciousness, higher ideas and ideals.

Of course, the dark side of Pluto in Aquarius is there as well. Detachment, getting disconnected. There can be social isolation and things like that.

Moving Through the Unknown

So, think about February 2024, and where we were at that time in our collective process. We were on the brink of something that was largely unknown. We didn't know what was going to happen, where we were heading.

And we are now 3/4 of the way through that cycle. And, by the way, the Mars-Pluto opposition aligned with last November's US election. Mars went retrograde, so there were three passes of the opposition.

The first one was in early November just before the US election. The second and third passes came in January and later. That opposition aligned with some of the changes in society and things that are pushing us into places that we have not been before.

All of that to say that what's happening as Mars is now almost at its exact square. With this eclipse, it's not exact yet. In fact, Mars is just about to go into Scorpio because it's at 29 degrees Libra during the exact eclipse. But it's close enough to that waning square with Pluto to be quite significant.

With a waning square, we've been around the block a bit. We have a better idea of what we're dealing with in some of the energies. And now that challenging square says, “who are you? How do you show up now that you know a little bit more about what is happening? How is it taking you into a new place where you have not been yet? What do you need to decide about who you are and how to show up, how to describe yourself?”

It's time to tell the story of what you see, how you experience what's going on in the reality around you, how you define it, how you talk about it, what words you use, how you move, and how you act.

What Mars actions will you take based on who you're becoming and how this reality is unfolding? And again, we have the theme of the anaretic degree. For Mars, it is 29 degrees Libra. Mars is at the very end of Libra saying, "We've been being nice. We've been trying to balance all sides.”

But what will happen as Mars goes into Scorpio and forms its exact square with Pluto? We go into some deeper change-oriented territory. Scorpio takes us into mystery. Again, there’s always a mix of good and bad to it, and you get to choose how you want to think about it and the lens through which you view what is showing up.

The Potential for Real, Long-Term Healing

For me, Scorpio energy is bringing the potential for some real transformation. But what does that look like? This is the question, of course. And the power question is, “What does this mean for you? How can you be involved and engaged and helping to shape the reality you want to see unfold?”

How can you show up in ways that support transformation and the kind of transformation that brings real long-term healing. Because that is the potential of Scorpio. Certainly Scorpio can take us into some dark places. But remember that sometimes going through the dark places helps us to shed our old skin, figure out who we are now in this new reality, and show up in ways that say, “I'm here. I'm here to participate in life. I'm here to be who I am. I'm here to take a stand for what I care about.”

And Mars adds, “I'm going to take action to help that come into being.” There is definitely more than one way to do that. There are as many millions and billions of ways as there are people.

So just ask yourself, “what does that look like for me? Who am I given what I now know about the world and what it looks like right now and what is happening? How do I feel about it and what I need to do about that?”

It could be small or big. It could be very personal, or it could be more about reaching out to a wider community. I don't know what is true and right for you, but these are the kinds of questions that, when we are asking them, we are in alignment with the invitation the planets are bringing us.

The 3rd quarter square between Mars and Pluto brings a potent moment, a moment of decision-making, a moment to steer and make a choice about which direction you want to go, how you’re going to show up, what you’re going to do, and what that looks like.

Around this eclipse, we're putting something in motion that we will then be able to live according to. So maybe there's a bigger picture idea or principle or something you value that you want to make some changes in your life to say, “This is important to me. This is how I am going to do my day-to-day life going forward, to participate in creating the kind of world I want to live in.”

Money, Values, & Feminine Power: Venus Square Uranus

Today, we are going to talk about the Venus square to Uranus, another piece of the challenges and what is unfolding, how to think about this eclipse, what it means for you, how you can think about your life, what is showing up around you, and how you can participate in the bigger evolutionary journey that we are collectively moving through.

We are feeling the eclipse energy, and we've been feeling it for a couple of weeks since the full moon Pisces lunar eclipse two weeks ago.

This Eclipse Aligns with the Equinox

And not only that, not only do we have this very potent and fascinating solar eclipse, but we also have the equinox on Monday. The sun enters Libra right after it forms this eclipse at 29 degrees Virgo. The sun entering Libra is the definition of the equinox in tropical astrology.

We get that equal day and night moment in the year that only happens a couple of times. And with the Libra equinox, we are making that transition into fall in the northern hemisphere.

This eclipse falls on the beginning of fall and also has its own special meaning. Today I am going to talk about Venus and Uranus, but I am also going to share the astrology chart and the alignments I've been talking about in a visual, sharing my screen so you can see the chart. I will share that at the end, so stay with me for that.

As we’ve discussed, Virgo energy is about getting something right. It's about where we need to put in the work to make something happen. It’s about implementation, getting our hands on something, and rolling up our sleeves to put something in motion, to make it actually happen.

It's moving beyond the step of dreaming or imagining or visioning. It’s about how we get our hands dirty, get moving forward, and put something in actual motion. What we have right now is things coming to the surface to flesh out, or flush out, that deeper truth.

And that's hard and can be a little scary, a little overwhelming, when you see those things that maybe you didn't want to see or couldn't see before, but now that you can see them more clearly, you can do something about it.

A Collective Turning Point

This eclipse can be a kind of turning point. What will that look like in the collective? I can't say for sure. But what I can say is if we harness this energy, of this moment being a turning point, we need to think about how that shows up for each of us in our own lives.

Where do you need to make some adjustments, release something that isn't serving you, make some shift to allow yourself to grow, to adapt, to step into new possibilities, shedding old skins. We’ve talked this week about leaving behind what is not going with you into the future because the future is where the solutions to the problems lie.

And every single one of us has some role to play in that collective future in that problem-solving experience. But the other side of that is that you don't have to do everything.

It will feel overwhelming if you imagine trying to fix all the problems of the world by yourself. That’s because you are not supposed to fix all the problems of the world by yourself. You are supposed to find other people to do it with.

And that means being your best self. It means asking yourself, “Am I on track? Is there anything I need to do differently? Where do I need to make some sort of change? Are there any habits or patterns that I need to let go, release into the past?”

There might even be some feelings that come up that are that are being flushed out so that you can leave them behind. If so, let it move through you and leave it behind. It's not going with you.

Let things flow from that Pisces perspective. Saturn is about how we need to do the work and do the spiritual work with Saturn in Pisces and Neptune in 0 degrees Aries. Neptune is at 0 degrees Aries, telling us there is something new beginning. There is a new dream being put in motion. How can you see yourself in that dream?

What does that look like for you? What does it mean about the choices you're facing in your life in very personal ways right now? How does that connect to your own evolutionary journey, which, in my way of looking at things, your evolutionary journey and your role to play in the evolution of the collective are the same thing.

The good news is that when you do something that is true and right for you, you are making the best possible contribution and positive difference. And that might be a difference you make for a child, for an animal, for an elder person, for someone you are helping out.

Maybe it’s for someone you work with or it could be that you are making a difference in a broader way. Maybe you're publishing, sharing, or performing—something that you're doing creatively or in your work that can make a difference for someone else or contribute to some sort of solution.

And even if that is just something that helps people feel better, I would argue that's huge in making a contribution to the wider world and helping be part of the solution.

I am going to talk today about the Venus square to Uranus. We have two squares in the eclipse chart. One of them, that I talked about yesterday, is the Mars waning square to Pluto. And the other one we're going to talk about today is the Venus waxing square to Uranus.

The Venus-Uranus Cycle Began on July 4, 2025

When we're looking at a cycle, we want to look back to the conjunction of the two planets. In this case, fascinatingly, the Venus conjunction to Uranus took place on July 4th, 2025. That’s a significant date for the United States, and whether you are a US citizen or resident or not, we can certainly see that it's up in the awareness of our collective experience and so you know US politics or whatever you want to call it, whatever it is that's unfolding in our collective evolutionary journey.

July 4th, 2025 is a significant day and also, we can look back at what was going on, on July 4th, 2025. First of all, we had the passage of a significant bill in US law that had to do with funding and money, which is Venus, and it was a shakeup, which is Uranus energy.

Uranus has to do with shakeup, unexpected developments, lightning bolts. It was a significant, if not earthshattering, certainly out of the ordinary moment in terms of what was going on with the passage of what's called the big beautiful bill or the one big beautiful bill.

Not everyone thought it was beautiful, but the point is that the Uranus energy connected with the Venus energy which is about money and funding. It's also about values, Venus is about values and the feminine.

Money, Values, and Justice: Restoring Balance in Power Dynamics

We’re dealing with things that have to do with resources, beauty, what we value, how we place value on things that traditionally have to do with the feminine. This is not to put things into gender boxes, but just to think about that Venus energy.

And the other thing that was happening around then, I believe, it looks like July 7th was when Pam Bondi made that—the attorney general made that announcement about a certain criminal, shall we say, with the initials JE.

And that is surfacing in our collective awareness and themes of the Me Too movement, themes of the feminine, misogyny, how women are treated, and misogynistic dynamics and patriarchy.

And so that theme is coming to the surface in terms of how we look at the feminine and our unfolding journey in our collective consciousness and awareness. I’m talking about how we view the dynamics between the masculine and the feminine, and who has the power.

 The Venus conjunction with Uranus was on July 4^th, and that cycle now, as themes of feminine values and shake up, with new information surfacing, creates cracks in the old awareness. Cracks in the old story happen the way earthquakes change the landscape. There are just so many metaphors here.

But now, with this eclipse, we have Venus in a waxing square to Uranus, one quarter of the way through that cycle. And that waxing square is a turning point. The square represents a challenge and a time when we need to take the wheel and steer.

So, in addition to the other themes we've talked about with the September 21st solar eclipse, we also have this theme of the feminine, money, values, and resources. Where do we need to take the wheel and steer something? Where do we need to take a stand if not to steer something in a big way?

Because I don't know how many people watching this might have a lot of influence but do it in little ways. State where you stand. State what you care about even to your neighbor. Don't be afraid to step into what you dream for the future.

Step into the future you imagine, the future you envision. Maybe that's more equality between the masculine and the feminine. Maybe that's more of a feminine centered power, because we've had a power imbalance for a very long time. What would it look like to restore that balance?

And it's not just feminine, it's anything that's not dominant, the dominant paradigm. And that includes any marginalized groups, any groups that fall into this category of being oppressed. What does it look like to have all the people have their power?

That’s part of the theme of this eclipse is how do we steer that and how do we stand up for and find courage to steer things in the direction that we want them to go. Especially in terms of standing up for the vulnerable, standing up for needs, and looking at themes of health care.

The so-called beautiful bill had an impact on health care. So, how do we care for one another and how do we distribute resources in a more equitable or healthy way for us and for society? There's lots of questions there and you know I have my views, you have your views.

The point is these energies are with us. And if you feel strongly about something, this is a good way to think about it, as an opportunity to take a stand in some way, be it big or small, and to say, “This is the kind of world I want to live in.”

As you look at your life, it’s important to think about where you need to get in alignment with what is going to bring greater balance, greater justice and greater peace.

Being Part of the Solution

And so, however you look at that or think about that, what is it that you need to get right? Where do you need to make adjustments in your life, or see what's wrong so you can find ways to fix it? Again, you're not responsible for fixing everything. You are responsible for fixing what you can, and little ways are significant.

Think about what you can do at the local level, family level, relationship dynamics, even doing some healing work within your intimate relationship, because even doing that makes a difference in this bigger picture. It’s a way of contributing to the positive way you want the world to be. You're contributing to the healing path.

So what does that look like for you? How are you going to be part of what healing looks like and show up for this creative process? Because one of the things about feminine energy, which, again, not to make it about gender or putting anybody in a box, but feminine energy has to do with creative energy, creative solutions.

It is some of that more earthy and watery energy that wants to shape things, that does that through feelings and energy. There’s lots more we could talk about there, but essentially, think about where your creative process is leading you, how to get your life in order.

What need what needs to be changed? What needs to be released? What needs to be stepped into? And where do you need to take a stand and believe in the world you want to see? Hold on to that dream and take steps, little to big steps, that you can to move in that direction.
